EINSTEIN made our day

Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein was born at Ulm, in Württemberg, Germany, on March 14, 1879.
He started his schooling in germany then continued his education from Munich , Italy and Switzerland ..
Do you know that the year 1905 was a miraclous year for EINSTEIN and also science !!!
During the "miracle year" of 1905, Albert Einstein published five groundbreaking papers still sparking innovations 100 years later.
Today's modern world is being dominated by Einstein's things right from the satellite enabled-alarm clock , GPS(Global Positioning System) , Digital camera's ,Perfection of televisions and Remote controls !!!!!!!

we think of Einstein first as the man who paved the way to development of the atomic bomb.
But that is not the right way to look at him.
Michel Janssen, a science and technology historian at the University of Minnesota, points out that Einstein had virtually nothing to do with developing the bomb, which grew out of the work of more up-to-date physicists in the 1930s. Einstein, in fact, was refused security clearance to have any role in the Manhattan Project

Einstein's researches are, of course, well chronicled and his more important works include Special Theory of Relativity (1905), Relativity (English translations, 1920 and 1950), General Theory of Relativity (1916), Investigations on Theory of Brownian Movement (1926), and The Evolution of Physics (1938). Among his non-scientific works, About Zionism (1930), Why War? (1933), My Philosophy (1934), and Out of My Later Years (1950) are perhaps the most important.
There were many important papers of him but his first great paper of 1905 and won him the Nobel Prize in 1921 — gave us scores of everyday applications

It was the statement of the quantum effect, without which we would not have cellular telephones or smoke detectors or burglar alarms or those doors that automatically open at the supermarket or on the elevator

All praise for the icon and The man of the century --- > Albert Einstein !!!!!!!!!

Wanna see what's inside IPHONE

APPLE'S iPhone

No doubt you would have seen an iPhone and must be owning it even but have you seen the inner components of iPhone ???

For most of us the answer is no we would not like to open our iPhone and know its inner components !!!

Lets us just try to know the wat's inside iPhone ..

The Display is among the most costly elements in the iPhone, aside from the memory and the touchscreen module ..

And know what the glass display itself is sourced by Epson, Sharp, and Toshiba Matsushita Display Technology.

The total cost of the hardware components is $225.85 for the 4GB version, and $249.85 for the 8GB version. The only difference between the two versions lies in the flash memory ..

This is a close look at the circuit board ..
Location (1) is the place where sim cards are inserted and
Location (2) houses 8mb of flash memory

As the thickness of an iPhone is just 12mm its amazing to obeserve all the components sandwiched inside it..

Finally it is the most amazing thing is its integration of a software and hardware that makes it special and has attracted large crowds towards it..

IPOD's are dangerous while thunderstroms !!

Wearing the device that is said to put "1,000 songs in your pocket" during a thunderstorm may have sent millions of volts surging through the head of an unlucky Vancouver jogger..

The man, who played in a church orchestra and was listening to religious music on an iPod while he ran, was injured when lightning struck a nearby tree, then snaked out to zap him as well.
His eardrums were ruptured, his jaw fractured and he suffered first-and second-degree burns from his chest - where the device was strapped - up into his ear channels, along the trail of the iPod's trademark white earphones. He also had burns down his left leg and foot, where the electricity exited his body, blowing his sneaker to smithereens in the process..

"Using things like this, a mobile phone or an iPod, there isn't actually an increased risk (of incurring a lightning injury),"

Is it end for Dvd's ??

As the British poet John Donne might have written, "Never send to know for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for DVD." With the DVD industry roiled in a contentious format war between the two next-gen DVD formats -- Blu-ray and HD-DVD -- the new partnership between Microsoft and Disney raises a serious question about whether it will matter which format ultimately prevails

Microsoft's new coffee table of the future

In a technological break-through, Microsoft has unveiled a first-of-its-kind coffee-table shaped surface computer, called 'Microsoft Surface'. Surface is essentially a Windows Vista PC tucked inside a shiny black table base, topped with a 30-inch (76-centimeter) touchscreen in a clear acrylic frame.

The company said that 'Microsoft Surface' turns an ordinary tabletop into a vibrant, dynamic surface that provides effortless interaction with all forms of digital content, through natural gestures, touch, and physical objects. In a statement, Steve Ballmer, Chief Executive Officer, Microsoft, said, "With 'Surface' we are creating more intuitive ways for people to interact with technology. We see this as a multibillion-dollar category, and we envision a time when surface computing technologies will be pervasive, from tabletops and counters to the hallway mirror. Surface is the first step in realizing that vision."

sony drops the price of playstation 3

Ending weeks of speculation, Sony officially announced a new $499 retail price for their 60 GB Playstation 3 on Sunday, effective immediately. They also introduced a larger 80 GB model at the $599 price point, which will come packaged with the racing game Motorstorm and will be available to North American consumers this August.
"As we move into the next phase of PS3, it's important that we continue to evaluate our product line, offering consumers the technology and features that meet their growing needs for new forms of media and the way in which it is delivered," explained SCEA president and CEO Jack Tretton.

The introduction of the 80GB PS3, the new pricing for the current 60GB model, the availability of more than 100 new software titles this fiscal year and, finally, the expansion of services for PlayStation Network, will provide even more options for users and will help bring new consumers into the PS3 fold."
The company also stated that 120 PS3 titles are slated to hit shelves before the end of the fiscal year, including third-party heavy hitters like Grand Theft Auto IV and Metal Gear Solid 4.
More information is expected to be announced at this week's E3 2007 expo
